Junior High teachers train on tracking learner progress

From June 29 to July 1, 2026, five Junior High School teachers of St. Joseph's Academy of Malinao traveled to the University of San Agustin in Iloilo City for the PEAC In-Service Training for Junior High School Teachers. The seminar's theme was "Tracking Learners' Progress: Strengthening and Elevating Students' Performance of the Grade 9-10 Revised K to 10 Curriculum," a direct look at how teachers read and respond to how Guardians in Grade 9 and 10 are actually learning.

St. Joseph's Academy of Malinao was represented by Mr. Joshua Daryll Dizon, Mr. Niño Raphael Ingeniero, Ms. Lesly Ann Zomil, Ms. Lensie Paroginog, and Mr. Mark Niño Naelgas. Over the three days, they worked through assessment practices and learner-centered strategies alongside updates to the curriculum itself, the kind of groundwork that shapes how a lesson gets taught long before it reaches the classroom.

Training like this does not show up on a report card, but it shapes what happens in the classroom every day after. When teachers have sharper tools for tracking how a Guardian is progressing, they can adjust sooner and teach with more precision.
